Play on paper ๐Ÿ“„

No screen required. Tic Tac Feet is just nine little tic-tac-toe boards on one big board โ€” it plays beautifully with a pen and a friend across the table.

Draw it yourself

Takes about thirty seconds โ€” see the steps below.

Draw the grid

  1. Draw one big 3ร—3 grid โ€” nine large cells.
  2. Inside each of those nine cells, draw a smaller 3ร—3 grid. That's 81 little squares in all โ€” nine small boards.
  3. Optional: letter the columns aโ€“i across the top and number the rows 1โ€“9 down the side. Then you can write moves down like we do on the site (see FGN notation).

The rules, in four lines

  1. โœ• goes first and may play in any square, on any small board.
  2. Your move sends your opponent. The square you pick within a small board decides which small board they must play in next โ€” top-left square sends them to the top-left board, and so on.
  3. Win a small board (three in a row) to claim that big cell. Mark it with a big โœ• or โ—ฏ.
  4. Win three big cells in a row to win the game. If you're ever sent to a board that's already won or full, play anywhere.
